I love this book and the audiobook!!!! I think it is really good and lends a lot more depth to Rose’s character. The story wasn’t SUPER complex, but it worked for me thematically. It is more character driven anyways. I think this story is a must read and will make you appreciate all of Rose’s parts in the film more and explains a lot that is only briefly touched on. Outside of Rose and Paige, most of the characters don’t really have a lot of depth or distinguishing features. I really liked Reeve Panzoro, though.

I also think Kelly Marie Tran did a REALLY good job reading the story. it made me smile to have a familiar voice reading, and hearing Rose’s story from “Rose herself” is amazing. I also really like how this audiobook incorporates music and sound effects. it makes it even more exciting and enhances the emotional feeling of the book.

I definitely recommend this book and think it is a must read / listen if you like Star Wars The Last Jedi and Rose tico 🙂

(This is my review for the audiobook on Audible, which is why it talks about that as well as the book itself)

Cobalt Squadron is lackluster compared to Inferno Squad. The book was fine and the writing was also, but most of the character’s dialogue and personalities were not impressive. Is this what the resistance is made of?!

Anyways, it’s a good book, good story, and I like the point of helping independent systems, but I have lost hope for the Resistance.
